Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- ½ teaspoon asafoetida/hing
- 2 green chilli, minced
- Pinch of turmeric
- 4 ripe bananas, peeled and sliced ½ inch thick
- 1 teaspoon ginger, finely chopped
- ½ teaspoon mango powder/amchoor
- 4 tablespoons water
- Salt to taste
- 2 tablespoons coriander leaves, chopped
Preparation
- Heat oil.
- Add cumin seeds then add asafoetida, green chilli and turmeric. Sauté.
- Add bananas, ginger, mango powder and water.
- Stir gently and cook for 1 minute only.
- (Don’t overcook otherwise banana will become mushy and watery.)
- Turn off the heat and add salt.
- Garnish with coriander leaves.
